Back to School
So the strike is over, and the teachers have won. Go teachers! But no victory stands on its own; for anything you build up, there will be somebody ready to get rich by tearing it down. And of course in this city, people have been tearing down public education, in various ways, since the very beginning. This week, we offer... well, not exactly an investigation, but perhaps a small peek into the figurative and literal dismantling of public schools in Los Angeles.
