Passage #310: 29 July 2015

Odd Lots

Given sufficient resources, an entity that is concerned primarily with the clearing and re-filling of space will have great power to reorganize the environment within its domain. Whether this will be to the benefit of coterminous or coincident entities will of course depend on those entities' own spatial and resource requirements.

While some might model these impacts dynamically, or attempt a prediction from first principles, we prefer an alternate approach. What happens when the reorganizing entity is removed? Are there any insights to be gained from examining the remnant spaces that could not be filled?

We shall find out tonight.
