Polar Pool Party
Winter 2014: much of the country has been reduced to a polar vortex hellscape. Extreme temperatures and dumping snow sap the populace's will. Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, residents kick back and enjoy their mellow, temperate climes. The birds are singing. The palm trees sway gently in the breeze. Oh, sure, soon enough they'll be consumed by fire, or drift off into the sea, but for now they relax, poolside.
