Passage #103: 22 June 2011
Chasing the Sun and Moon
This being the day after the summer solstice, you are probably exhausted from jumping over bonfires, blowing on conch shells, "seeking the fern flower" and such. We understand. Those traditions of ritual purification and renewal can really take it out of you. But the heavenly bodies continue on their paths, and if it seemed that time stood still for a moment while the sun was perched at its zenith, then it is now surely once again marching forward.
This week, we will continue chasing the sun and the moon and finding ways (both new and old) to mark the time.
